Coffin Cup Regatta - July 16th
July 13, 2010

2010 Coffin Cup Regatta - July 16, 2010 at Polpis Harbor

Open to any participant of Polpis Harbor youth program sessions, the "Coffin Cup" is a mini regatta held annually in memory of Admiral Sir Isaac Coffin who founded the very first teaching/training vessel, Clio, for nautical studies in the United States. The regatta consists of a full-morning of short races with an emphasis on sportsmanship and having fun.  Parents, guardians, siblings and friends are encouraged to attend the regatta to watch.  Spectator boats are almost always available on a first come, first serve basis to enable parents and friends to get out on the water where the action is!

Registered students may check-in for the regatta at 8:30am and the Skipper's Meeting will begin at 8:45am.  Sailors will be ferried to the boats at 9:00am and the first race will begin at 9:30am.  The final race of the day will take place at 11:00am, allowing the sailors to be on the shore and ready to begin the awards ceremony at 11:30am.

We look forward to seeing all the sailors on the water!
