Rebuilding the Fleet

Please join us in our fundraising effort to replace our aging Hunter 140 fleet, used by our young sailors in Polpis Harbor.    The Hunter 140 fleet has served NCS well for the past 15 years as the primary boat for our youth sailing programs.   The Hunters have been patched and maintained to the end of their useful life, and it is time to replace them.   To that end, we are excited to announce a "Rebuilding the Fleet" fundraising effort to replace the Hunters.   Our top choice for the new fleet is the RS Quest, which costs about $7,500, and which we will test on island this summer.   Our goal is to buy eight new boats.

We are thrilled to partner in Rebuilding the Fleet with Paul Gaucher and Peter Niemitz, and their Nantucket store, COAST HOME.   Paul and Peter will host a cocktail party at their home on July 9th, with the intent to raise the funds to help NCS buy the new boats.   It promises to be a great evening!    Our sponsors for the evening include:   Coast Home, Nantucket Culinary Institute, Table No. 1, Hatch's Package Store, David M. Handy Events, Lee Real Estate, Great Point Properties, Nautilus, and Darya's Salon.     The invitations to the cocktail party will be limited to only 135 people, prioritizing those who make an early commitment to Rebuild the Fleet.  You may sign up for the party HERE.

We are requesting donations to help us achieve our goal.     You may make a donation HERE, or buy sending a check or credit card payment to Nantucket Community Sailing, PO Box 2424, Nantucket, MA  02584.
