This is a exciting Collaboration between Nantucket Historical Association & Nantucket Community Sailing bringing some of the best speakers to our historic whaling museum.

Location: Gosnell Hall, Whaling Museum, 13 Broad Street Lecture followed by Rooftop Reception 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (Doors open 5:30 p.m.)

Tuesday, July 10 - ALFIE SANFORD 'Atlantic Cruising from Nantucket' An evening with Alfie Sanford who will speak about his experiences of Atlantic cruising based from Nantucket, and learning sailing in Nantucket in the 1950's.

Tuesday, July 24 - GARY JOBSON 'Celebrating Sailing' Celebrated sailor, Gary Jobson, presents stories of inspiration on the sport of sailing. He will also live-narrate the screening of some of his short films. (Photo)

Tuesday, August 7 - JOHN BURNHAM "The International One-Design - 80 Years Young" Join John Burnham, a past champion and former editor of Sailing World and Cruising World, on a photo tour that traces the history of the class. He'll cover the development of the Nantucket fleet, his own experience of the last 30 years and the array of other extraordinary venues where the boats are sailed.

Tuesday, August 28 - NAT PHILBRICK 'Second Wind" Join us for a special evening and reception with Nat Philbrick, speaking on his most recent book, a memoir on sailing on Nantucket's ponds in the 1990s. (Photo)
