In 2007, Nantucket Race Week honorary chairman and sailing legend Gary Jobson brought his all-star ESPN video team to film the highlights of Race Week. Gary Jobson is a former All-American collegiate sailor. He won the America's Cup in 1977 as tactician for Ted Turner. As a broadcaster/producer for ESPN, lecturer, and writer (he is an Editor at Large for Sailing World and Cruising World magazines), Jobson is the pre-eminent ambassador for sailing in the U.S. The Jobson video team filmed the racing action from on-board cameras, chase boats and a helicopter.
